The Afton Fair Youth Dairy Show will be held during the 135th Afton Fair. The schedule will be posted when available. This show demonstrates the skills of the exhibitor with their animal. In this show the judge picks the animal that is most correct.
The kids compete for ribbons and prize money. We usually have between 30-40 exhibitors from the surrounding counties. The shows are a great way for the youth to show off their animals and all their hard work throughout the year. For more information contact Paul Faigle at 607-349-0557.

Health Requirements & Eligibility
Dairy cattle must meet the health requirements listed in Afton Fair Premium Book as well as the Eligibility requirements. Ensure that you review the Rules & Regulations for bringing animals to fairs and the animal health requirements for fair animals! If you are bringing animals from outside of New York State, please review the Interstate Animal Health Requirements.
Rules for the Youth Dairy Show
- All entries must follow State health guidelines listed in the General Health Requirements section.
- Each exhibitor shall present a health certificate signed by a licensed veterinarian for the state vet to check when you arrive.
- I would like to encurage all exhibitors to prepare their own animals for the shows since this is a youth only show!
- Prizes will be awarded for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place.
- Please follow instructions on entry form to submit your entry no later than TBD.
